Grandparent's Day

Ian is doing better today. By the time I came home this afternoon, he looked remarkably better. So, we decided Ian and I would tag along for the planned afternoon activity...

Grandparent's Day

Today was Grandparent's Day at Taylor's school. Fortunately, we were lucky enough to have Grandmother join us for this occasion. There was a presentation downstairs, and then we went up to the classrooms for some more fun. In Taylor's classroom, they showed us how they play a math game, and also how they play another game called silent ball. It was a blast to see the class as a whole interacting on a level they are accustomed to on a daily basis.
(Right- Ian, trying to give Taylor a smooch!)

Afterwards, it was the end of the day and we decided to head over to the Humane Society to see if Rusty or the Doxie were still there. We were not able to find either one of them, but we did find this great looking cat! We also ran into some of Taylor's friends from school there, too. Our last stop of the day brought us to the Java Train. Between Taylor's Izzy's ice cream and Ian's cookie, there was enough sugar to operate on for the rest of the evening!
